Iranian film ‘Pass’ to vie at FLiFF 36

Iranian short film ‘Pass’ is to vie at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival in the US.

Iranian short film ‘Pass’ is set to participate at the 2021 edition of Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival in the US.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘Pass’ will compete at the 36th edition of the film event.

Written and directed by Elika Abdollahi, the film revolves around a poor woman and shows that not everyone is trustworthy.

“I tried to say that not everyone is predictable, even those we have trust in," the director has said in a statement on her film.

‘Pass’ is starring Mina Hamedani, Hessam Hosseini, Soheil Mirza, and Ebrahim Barzideh.

The annual Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival is presented by the Broward County Film Society, a nonprofit organization.

The 36th edition of the festival will be held in a hybrid form, combining physical and online events. It will take place on November 5-21.
